A natural double eyelid should not have a crease that is too high.
When a previous surgery created an excessively high crease,
we release the adhesion of the overly fixed crease line, lower its height,
and redesign a new line.

Crease Lowering (Double Line Technique) Surgical Method

Depending on the patient’s condition, the line may be lowered through non-incisional or incisional revision,
but if the previous surgical scar remains strong, revision is performed with the Double Line Technique.

STEP02-1

Crease lowering: existing and new eyelid crease, orbital fat and levator muscle

*Release adhesion of the levator aponeurosis*The preaponeurotic layer is the space between
the orbital septum, which encloses the fat, and the levator muscle that opens the eye.

*Release adhesion of the orbital septum*The preseptal layer is the space between
the orbicularis muscle just beneath the eyelid skin
and the orbital septum surrounding the fat.

Dual dissection (dual adhesion release)Dissect both the preaponeurotic and preseptal layers
to release adhesion in two planes and remove the scar of the previous crease line.

STEP03-1

Depending on the patient’s condition (multiple creases, hollow upper eyelids, ptosis),
fat may be added or removed,
and additional procedures such as ptosis correction may be performed.
