Early lateral canthoplasty procedures involved making a straight-line incision and suturing the outer eye corner area.
As a result, when opening and closing the eyes, the ligaments would pull and reattach, causing the outer corners to form a square shape,
or causing scarring and unnatural appearances.
However, at SISUN Plastic Surgery, a different approach is used: the outer side of the eye corner is incised and fixed to the periosteum
using a pulling method, making it impossible for the outer corner to reattach in a square shape or develop unnecessary scarring.
Sutures are hooked onto the periosteum beside the brow bone and firmly fixed, pulling horizontally for maximum traction.
